Maison Souquet, Hotel & Spa, Paris

The hotel rooms are a feast for the eyes, very comfortable and spacious, ideal for an excellent breakfast to kick start each day. However, the rooms were tiny, hardly larger than a suite on the Orient Express, with the bathroom feeling placed in a closet and suitcases needing to go under the bed.

I was delighted with the beautifully decorated rooms at Maison Souquet, courtesy of Jacques Garcia, and the impeccable service that included a lovely surprise of rose petals and Champagne in the bar. The location was ideal, close to the Moulin Rouge and with easy access to the Metro, despite some late-night noise. The dining experience at Maison Souquet was simply divine, with fresh and delicious regional products.
